Casa Bonita In Tulsa is Oklahoma's Funnest Restaurant

Oklahoma may not be on any ones top tourist destinations list but it does have some interesting sites to see and places to go. One unexpected popular destination if you are in Oklahoma is Casa Bonita. Casa Bonita is a Mexican restaurant mixed between a Chuckie Cheese and a resort hotel in Maui. Or you could just say it is the Disneyland of Mexican Restaurants. If you have ever been to a Rain Forest Cafe then you will have some idea what you are getting yourself into here. However unlike Rain Forest Cafe which has a mix of foods and no games Casa Bonita only serves Mexican food and has kids games.
Casa Bonita is located at 2120 South Sheridan Road, Tulsa, Oklahoma. There were once many other Casa Bonita restaurants but most all have closed down. The only other Casa Bonita that remains is in Colorado. The Oklahoma Casa Bonita has actually closed and reopened a few times but is fortunately open now. However it has been in the last few years that it has been closed and reopened so who knows how long it will stay open this time. The very first Casa Bonita which was on Oklahoma City has been closed and this it the oldest one still left.

The ambiance is a big part of what people come to Casa Bonita for. The interior is made to look like a Mexican village. There is a large waterfall, stream, cave, strolling mariachis, carousel, gift shop, puppet theater, and an arcade. The inside looks similar to a Rain Forest Cafe but no animatornic animals.

While the ambience is excellent the food is also a good reason to come to Casa Bonita. The food is all you can eat. They feature popular beef or chicken plates. A popular food here is the sopapillas which are a Mexcian fried bread served with honey that come with every meal.

The arcade has a few fun games for kids. The arcade also offers tickets which are redeemable for prizes. Its a great idea to eat and then play so you can go back to eat more after you play.

Casa Bonita may not be the best restaurant in Oklahoma but is is the funnest. If you are ever in Oklahoma and hungry then you should head to Casa Bonita.
