Cascadian Farm Cereal : is One Flavor Better Than Another?

A Review of Some Popular Cascadian Farm Granola and Breakfast Cereal Choices

Aimee E
As a person, who usually eats plain cereal as a snack, I try to purchase as many natural and organic cereals as possible. Since they tend to cost more than traditional breakfast cereals, I am thrilled to be able to use Cascadian Farm coupons in conjunction with a grocery store's weekly sale. This was the case last week when I was able to purchase some Cascadian Farm granola and cereal at 2 for $5 with an extra $1 off 2 boxes, manufacturer's coupon.

After browsing a selection of cereals, I chose the Cascadian Farm cinnamon graham-style cereal. Appearing similar to a Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted the cereal. Not only it is lighter in appearance (which allows the darker cinnamon to show more prominently), the cereal tasted lighter and was not as crunchy. Not to give the wrong impression that the cereal was soggy, it was very firm and crunchy, without having the feeling that the crunchy bits are so sharp, they could cut the inside of your mouth.

The Cascadian Farm cereal I purchased has become my new favorite. I also purchased some grown-up versions of Cheerios and Fruit Loops, but after sampling the cinnamon cereal, these may have to wait until I finish the rest of the box. Not to worry though, a sale this great only comes at my grocery store twice a year, which is why I recommend stocking up if you are able to "double coupon" (manufacturer's coupon combined with in-store sale).

For people who prefer eating granola during breakfast, I also purchased some Cascadian Farm granola cereal in both maple and cinnamon raisin flavors. The full review can be found here , but to summarize, I have to say there was a clear favorite.

If you are able to procure some Cascadian Farm coupons and enjoy eating organic foods, I highly recommend the Cascadian Farm brand. I have had their cereals, granola bars and frozen vegetables and each time have never been disappointed.
