Case for IPod Nano, with Retractable Cord, for 97 Cents!

Don't you love a steal of a deal?

My husband found one today in Wal-Mart. While he looked for a pair of jeans, I looked for a case for his new iPod Nano. The cases aren't elaborate, and they are pricey. They ranged from $5 for a slipcover to $25 plus for a leather case. I thought he needed a cover to protect his iPod Nano, so I picked a package of 3 for around $7.00.

My husband wasn't impressed. The covers were three small pieces of plastic. He said he didn't need them, so I took them back.

While I was gone, he looked for a hat for the 4th of July. Beside the hats were wallets, and to the right of the wallets were packages of puritan(registered trademark) ID reels for 97 cents. In other words, a case for an I.D. that attaches to a belt, pants pocket, waistband or pocket and has a retractable cord.

A light bulb went off in his head. An iPod Nano is about the size of an I.D. Why not use this I.D. case for the iPod Nano? He couldn't wait to show me his discovery.

I wasn't impressed. I didn't think the iPod Nano would fit. I thought the case couldn't be good enough. After all, how good could it be for 97 cents?

My husband wasn't at all discouraged by my lack of enthusiasm. He bought 2 for less than $2.00. He couldn't wait to get home and try them out.

As you can see from the picture, his idea worked. The I.D. case holds the iPod Nano and has an open space at the bottom for the cord. The case snaps shut, insuring the iPod Nano will stay put. Attached to the case is a retractable cord.

It is easy to use all the functions of the iPod Nano through the clear plastic cover. The back of the case is blue.

We put a happy face sticker on the I.D. reel for decoration. Any kind of sticker or picture can be attached to make it more personal.

The iPod Nano has to be removed from the case to charge it. That's easy enough. Just unsnap the case and the iPod Nano will slip right out.

Let me assure you, I am no fan of Wal-Mart. I am sure this product or a similar one can be found at other discount stores. We have no financial interest in the makers of this product, and we are not endorsing it. We're just glad to have an inexpensive and functional case for his iPod Nano. Check it out. You may discover a steal of a deal as well!

The photo on the iPod article is there. I noticed formatting problems earlier. Maybe that's why you couldn't see the photo. Thanks for reading!
