Casey Anthony timeline: Part 1Part 2

It's hard to believe that it has been over one year since Caylee Anthony disappeared. Her disappearance grieved a nation as many believed that she might still be alive, though no one believed Casey Anthony's story. On June 1, 2008, Casey Anthony's boyfriend, Anthony Lazzaro (Tony Lazzaro) has admitted that he saw Caylee swimming in a pool. According to Casey Anthony, she dropped Caylee off with her babysitter, Zenaida Hernandez-Gonzalez, or Zanny the Nanny on June 9, 2009. Prosecutors in the Casey Anthony case believe that there never was a 'Zanny the Nanny.' One thing that we do know, is that Casey Anthony moved out of her parents home, George and Cindy Anthony, on June 9, 2009 and move in with her friend, Amy Huizenga, and Ricardo Morales. Morales just happened to be Casey Anthony's ex-boyfriend. There were many times during this period that Casey Anthony was seen without Caylee, as she was reportedly with her 'Nanny.'

On June 15, 2008, Caylee visited her great-grandfather, Cindy Anthony's father in a nursing home. It was there that the world saw the video of a beautiful, vibrant little girl singing, "You are my Sunshine," a song that has come to be known as Caylee's song. This video has become critical in establishing a timeline of Caylee Anthony's disappearance. Cindy Anthony has stated that after they returned from the nursing home, they went swimming in the family pool. The next day, June 16, 2008 would be the last time that anyone sees Caylee Anthony alive. The last person to see her, besides her killer, was George Anthony. George Anthony stated that he left for work at approximately 2:30 p.m. and had last seen his daughter, Casey Anthony and granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, leave his home at approximately 12:30 p.m. They had backpacks on, he would never see Caylee again. Cell phone records show that a flurry of phone calls were made from Casey Anthony's cell phone between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. later that evening.

The next day, June 17, 2008, someone visited the Sawgrass Apartments and signed the visitor card, "Zenaida Hernandez-Gonzalez." June 18, 2009, the following day, a neighbor of Casey's Brian Burner stated that Casey came to his home and borrowed a shovel. Brian Burner voluntarily met with detectives in the case on July 30, 2008.
Brian Burner told detectives that on June 17th, he remembered seeing Casey Anthony back into her driveway. Somewhere on the 18th or 19th of June, 2008, Brian Burner remembered Casey Anthony approaching him and asking if she could borrow a shovel. He was in the midst of doing yard work. She stated that she needed to dig up a bamboo root in the ground. He stated that Casey borrowed the shovel at approximately 2:30. He described Casey as looking calm, without having any dirt on her clothes, and hadn't worked up a sweat. He didn't, however, see Caylee Anthony.
