Casey Anthony Case: Negative Test Results on Caylee Anthony Remains

Hundreds More Documents Released to Public

Hundreds of pages of documents were released Friday, May 1, regarding the case of Casey Anthony. Among those documents was an FBI lab results document that revealed negative results for all the drugs tested by the FBI on samples of hair that belonged to Caylee Anthony. The FBI, however, did not test for chloroform, which many believe may have been used on Caylee Anthony and may have precipitated her death.

The FBI Lab also issued a disclaimer which stated that the findings, although negative, did not necessarily mean that the drugs tested for were not involved in the death of Caylee Anthony.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, most of the documents released Friday centered around the remains of Caylee Anthony, which were found nearly six months after she was last seen alive. Roy Kronk, an Orange County utility worker, called in the discovery on December 11. What he found turned out to be the remains of Caylee Anthony.

What makes Kronk's discovery in December important is, not only did he definitively stop rampant suppositions that Caylee Anthony was still alive, it happened to be in the same general area as other reports made in August. By Roy Kronk.

Orange County Sheriff's Deputy Richard Cain even failed to follow up on a subsequent tip to the wooded lot where Caylee Anthony's remains were ultimately found. The Orange County Sheriff's Department is in the process of terminating Cain after an internal police investigation for failing to thoroughly investigate the scene, therefore possibly delaying the investigation by months.

Sheriff's Deputy Richard Cain is appealing the decision.

Casey Anthony, the 23-year-old mother of Caylee Anthony, was arrested for the murder of her daughter in October. She awaits trial, tentatively scheduled for October, in the Orange County Jail. State attorneys recently filed to add the death penalty as part of her punishment.

As more and more documents, videos, memos, and electronic messaging records become available to the public via Florida's Sunshine Law, each side of the case and how they might proceed in court is becoming clearer.

The state must meet the burden of proof. As yet, there has been no telling piece of evidence that has conclusively linked Casey Anthony to the death of her child. There does exist a massive amount of circumstantial evidence, not to mention her many lies to her parents, friends, and investigators. There is her seemingly odd behavior after she knew that Caylee was missing and her even odder reticence at confiding to her parents that Caylee was missing before being forced to tell the police by Cindy Anthony, her mother, after the 911 call on July 15, almost a month to the day that Caylee Anthony was last seen by anyone other than her mother.

Casey Anthony still insists that someone took Caylee. She has stated repeatedly that it was either the nanny, the now infamous "Zanny the nanny" that investigators cannot find a trace of, or someone who took Caylee away from the nanny or perhaps done something to them both.

But one thing is certain: A 2-year-old child is dead due in some part to the negligence of her mother. Whether or not Casey Anthony was fully responsible for the death of her daughter is still questionable, but her negligence after the fact -- the delay in notifying the police, the lies and misdirections, all causing delays in the hunt for her daughter -- makes her somewhat culpable for Caylee Anthony's untimely death.

The death Penalty is too quick and too easy for Casey! Why should she be able to just lay on a gurney with a needle in her arm & just gently go to sleep forever when there is no way to know the extent of time or pain little Caylee had to go through to die?? They need to stop all this court crap & talk of the DP!! All they need to do is to unlock her cell & tell her to leave! There are thousands of people in the general public out there that I am sure would take care of it;hopefully,LONG & VERY PAINFUL!!It probably wouldn't take long until this would all be settled! There are those who would love the opportunity!Almost everyone HATES a CHILD killer! If she gets life, just think about the millions of $$$ it would cost the taxpayers to pay for her upkeep on death row for God knows how many years & she in reality would probably never be executed!Let the authorities do Casey,Caylee & the general public a favor by just setting her free!!!!

Could little Caylee have been an abused child and often these children are drugges. Chloroform could have been used. Whoever has done this deserves life in jail. Death would be too good for the murderer.
