Casey Anthony's murder trial should be starting in May, underline should. There already have been changes and delays and the closer it gets to the May start date, who knows what will happen. The prosecutors are asking for the death penalty and anyone who hasn't heard of the case or doesn't have an opinion must have been living in a void since 2008. That was the year that little Caylee Marie Anthony, 2-years-old, was murdered and her mother, Casey, is the alledged murder. To get an impartial jury, Jurors will be brought in from another judicial circuit and they will be sequestered for at least 8 weeks.
What is life like for Casey Anthony in jail? Lonely is the best way to describe it. She is not allowed to talk to or to see any other inmates. When Casey is allowed out of her cell, the other inmates must remain in theirs. Maybe they know that even prisoners don't take well to a mother killing her baby girl so they have to protect Anthony's life.
Casey can only see her parents and brother at court hearings, which is probably harder on the parents than on the accused herself. She comes across as cold, so possibly that doens't bother her at all.
Casey Anthony is celebrating another birthday and here is her menu for the day:
Breakfast - grits, breakfast gravy, bread, jelly, margarine, calcium beverage
Lunch - bologna, cheese, mustard, macaroni salad, bread, cookies, vitamin C beverage
Dinner - meatloaf patty, gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, bread, cookies, vitamin C beverage
Sounds just delicious and probably way better than what she deserves, even if it is her birthday. As of today, Casey Anthony has been in jail for 887 days. How many days has Caylee been dead? How many days were stolen from her?

What a tragedy. The whole case just sickens me.
I have followed this case, I was in Florida when it broke and yes, Casey Anthony is probably a sociopath. I have been waiting for this trial.
Thanks for the update. While I too believe she's a sociopath, I think her parents know a lot more than they are saying.
Thanks for the article Abby. I have followed this case ever since it broke and I believe Casey Anthony is most definitely a sociopath. The whole thing is just sickening. I am relieved that all of her partying (and ignoring her daughter's disappearance) is going to be allowed as evidence in court.
Thanks for this report Abby!
This case is quite a common news topic here in Florida. It's just heart-breaking to think about what happened to that sweet little girl. Is there really any justice for Caylee? Very informative, Abby.
Poor little Caylee...
Good interpretation of this sad story.
I'm with Nancy. At least she is alive.
