Casey Anthony is Fit to Stand Trial, What If She Wasn't?

Casey Anthony is fit to stand trial. Well, shouldn't that have been determined a long time ago? Her defense team must have been praying that she would be found incompetent to finish the trial. If things had gone their way, then the 'crazy' mother would have possibly gotten away with murder.

Judge Perry had excused court early on Saturday because Casey's attorneys tried to get the judge to say that she wasn't fit to stand trial. Well, folks, that backfired.

As reported by MSN, over the weekend three psychologists examined the defendant and found that Casey Anthony is fit to finish this trial. According to what Judge Perry said today, the trial will continue. Thank goodness, we don't' need a mistrial, let's get this over and done.

The jurors have been sequestered and their lives put on hold while they do their civic duty. It would be a shame if all their time so far was for nothing. Today is day 29 of the case. Hopefully this phase will be over soon so that we can get to the deliberations. That is what the world is waiting for.

People are tired of hearing about and reading about Casey Anthony. They say things like, "She isn't the first mother to kill her child." Correct, she isn't, but she is the one who is currently on trial and getting the attention. Perhaps no one since OJ Simpson has lied so well and gotten away with it. OJ will never spend time on death row; we will have to be content with how he will surely spend eternity. But if Casey Anthony is found guilty we will feel a little vindicated. The 'bad girl' will have to pay.

Caylee Anthony was just two years old when she died, most likely at the hands of her mother. If Casey had been found unfit to continue with this trial, there would be an uproar like never before at that courthouse. It is time she pays for what she did. But, guilty parties have gone free before, so it is a good thing that Casey Anthony is fit to stand trial and see this to the end.
