Casey Anthony Gets Probation, a Result of Her Check Fraud Case

Abby Greenhill

Casey Anthony gets probation; she isn't off the hook quite yet. She has to serve one year of probation resulting from check fraud charges. She used her best friend's checks to go shopping after Caylee's death. She was a wonderful friend don't you think? If that's how she treated her friends, can you imagine how she treated her enemies? The order was so ruled today by the judge who presided over that case. This has nothing to do with the murder trial. We all know she walked away free from that one.

Supervision will begin this week, although no one really knows where Anthony will have to serve out her probation. Will it be in Orlando, Florida? I guess once we know that we will know where Casey Anthony is living. Just because she was found not guilty of murdering her daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony, the law isn't letting her slide on the punishment from her check fraud case. Let's consider this just a small victory. OJ got away with the big one, but wound up in jail for something stupid. Maybe Casey Anthony hasn't seen the last of the inside of a jail. What happens if she don't follow-through with probation? She could possibly serve some more time in behind bars herself.

Regarding the probation, as per the Orlando Sentinel, she will be under supervision within 72 hours. Maybe now Jose Baez is going to have to bring Miss Casey Anthony out of hiding.

The judge from the fraud case wanted to make it perfectly clear that he imposed probation on her at the fraud trial and that probation should stand, even though she was found not guilty of murder. The outcome is that Casey Anthony gets probation. Now it is time for Baez to sit down and have a chat with Casey Anthony and tell her she's not 100 percent free, as if she will ever be.

What would be the best probation for Casey? Something along the lines of community service would be too easy for her. The public can probably come up with some really good ideas! Since Casey Anthony gets probation for a year, how should she serve her time best?
