With the sentencing phase today for the four charges Casey Anthony was found guilty of Tuesday ABC News has obtained copies of letters Anthony wrote to a fellow inmate while incarcerated in the Orange County jail.
In the letters to inmate Robyn Adams between 2008 and 2009, Casey talks about her desire to have another child upon her release, possibly adopting another child, and changing her name.
Casey Anthony was found not guilty Tuesday of the 1st degree murder charge in the death of her daughter Caylee Anthony in June 2008. She was sentenced to four years in jail and a $4000 fine for lying to detectives about what really happened to her daughter. She is slated to be released Wednesday July 13th.
In one of 50 different letters Casey wrote to Robyn she says, "I had a dream not too long ago that I was pregnant, it was like having Cays all over again," she wrote, referring to her daughter, Caylee, who it now turns out was dead at the time."I've thought about adopting, which even sounds weird to me saying it, but there are so many children that deserve to be loved."
The letters between Anthony and Adams were released by prosecutors in April 2010 in preparation of Casey Anthony's upcoming trial. While the letter go on to discuss mundane things like life behind bars, what she misses most about her old life and what she hopes to do when she's released, it is the letters where she talks about her daughter and future children that has outraged many people across America.
In another letter Anthony writes to Adams, "Let's make a deal ? let's get pregnant together ? if it's really possible to plan it."
Another letter also talks about Casey's thought's on money she might make in profiting from the publicity of her daughter's case, saying, "No matter how much money I have someday, all I want to do is live comfortably, not worrying about bills, food or even a few clothes. Everything in moderation and modesty."
Casey also talks about writing a self help/advice book for other parents after being released, saying she would describe it as "partial memoir/comedy/relationship advice book for those not in the know. It's a way to settle many rumors and to share my insight about love, life and most important - God. Who knows."
In a letter about the little things Anthony misses she tells Adams she doesn't want to sound "vain" but also can't wait to get out, which she believed was "just around the corner."
"I can't wait to get my teeth whitened and to use my regular toothbrush/toothpaste/shampoo, conditioner. I still have no desire to wear heels unless the occasion calls for it. but converse, boots and REAL flipflops?Ah! And hats, regular ball caps."
"Sunglasses. Underwear, that fits!" she continues, "Is that vain? Should I not look forward to these things? Color on my toesies and acrylic nails -- yes please. I want to embrace the many joys of being a lady. And girl, I could use a day at Target myself. Just to walk around the store, to be a part of society. I want to go grocery shopping."
The letters also show a glimpse into Casey Anthony wondering how she would re-enter normal society again and how difficult it might be, asking Adams about a name change. "If you could change your name to any name, what would it be? I've been thinking about that a lot lately."
"Ideas?many ideas."
