Casey Anthony was Found Not Guilty Today of Murdering Her Precious Daughter

Not Guilty Verdict Stunned Everyone Especially Casey Anthony

Shana Dines

I am rendered almost speechless about the not guilty verdict today, July 5th, 2011 of Casey Marie Anthony. I was not prepared. I did not think that it was possible that she would get away with this. Each not guilty that was recited, 1st degree down flabbergasted me. I really expected at least child negligence. She was found guilty only of lying to the police. She could walk away a free woman on Thursday after murdering her precious little toddler, Caylee Marie Anthony. How is this possible?

I wonder if she were fat, ugly and old, or just ugly if she would have been found not guilty? Her parents walked out of the courtroom, heads down. I think that they were totally expecting her to get at least 1st degree murder. I bet that they were preparing themselves to have to deal with her getting the death penalty. The only one who got the death penalty was little Caylee Marie. The grandparents will get life sentences.

Now that the trial is over they will have to try to pick up the pieces of their lives without their precious little Caylee. They will have to deal with the feelings of betrayal, grief and pain of having their daughter disembowel them on the witness stand. They will have to deal with wondering how the jury could have found their daughter not guilty. Does that mean that they believe that the parents are the culprits? That George actually held Caylee's little wet dripping body out to Casey, threatening her, helping her toss her body in the garbage dump? Can they possibly believe that George was the one who did it?

I am completely baffled. I was sure that the prosecution had it in the bag. Linda Drane Burdick did an amazing job of presenting the closing argument yesterday. So did Jeff Ashton. I still am in shock. Everyone that I know is in shock and horrified that Casey got away with murder.

She will now be able to sell her story for millions of dollars. She will be able to get book deals for millions of dollars. She will be the innocent, victimized darling. Her parents will be bankrupt if they aren't already. The money that they spent trying to find Caylee will never be able to be repaid. Their daughter who threw them under the bus will be a millionaire. Cindy could end up spending more time in jail for perjuring herself than Caylee did for murdering her daughter. Who really loved their daughter? It wasn't Casey. It was Cindy. What she did was wrong, but understandable.

Many including me still can't believe that OJ got away with murder. I and others can't believe that Michael Jackson got away with child molestation. I surely thought though that this was different. I was wrong. I do believe in God. I do believe that there is a debt to pay, if not here, on the other side. Woe to he who harms even one hair on the head of an innocent child.

What is even scarier than all of this put together? Casey can still reproduce. She can have as many children as she wants. I wonder if the defense can live with the guilt and the worry knowing that they set her, this beautiful monster free?

Rest in peace precious little angel Caylee Marie Anthony.

She might get away with it now, but someday she won't if she did in fact murder her daughter. Whoever did will have to explain it to God. It's sad that even mosquitoes breed.

It broke my heart and jurors speaking out and saying there was no evidence of a murder made me even madder.

What a heartbreaking verdict. I was stunned at the verdict my friend. When I read your last line, "Rest in peace precious little angel Caylee Marie Anthony" I cried. Oh, how hard this is to see this precious little angel...but we do know that she is with Jesus today!

No one can possibly win in this situation.

The end result is that, if Casey is innocent, then who killed Caylee? Is a murderer still on the loose? Sad, sad, ending to a beautiful child's life. cheers

I think the jury did what they did with the evidence they had. Not guilty does not mean she is innocent. It means there were doubts in the juries minds. Every time a witness got up and both sides questioned them, they had different stories. No one was consistent. How can you convict on that? There are also a lot of questions that were not asked or were only partially asked and/or explained. No one said that she didn't do it, they said that there wasn't enough evidence to convict her. I think, also, in the coming years we are going to find out more about that family, because that family is surely sinister.

It is sad if she did it. However, the jurors didn't believe the prosecution proved its case.

Hi, Shana. If indeed she is guilty, this is a sad application of justice. Yet we are not there. We cannot know those things that the jury knows. Shouldn't we be very careful about passing judgments without all the evidence? In the end, God will balance every scale. In the meantime, the verdict is "Not Guilty." Be careful, my friend. Be careful.

    I was surprised.
