Casey Johnson & Johnson Heiress Dead at 30, May Have Been Dead for Days; Misses NYE Parties & No One Checks on Her?

January 4, 2010; Monday. Socialite Casey Johnson, 30, (b. September 24, 1979) heiress to the Johnson & Johnson empire, is said to have died this morning. The Los Angeles Police Department's (LAPD) Sgt. Charles Halliburton stated, according to OK magazine, "I can confirm there's been a death and the body has been identified as Casey Johnson." The LAPD and the fire department were allegedly called to the socialite's Hollywood Hills home and found Ms. Johnson already dead. Authorities have reported that 'she might have been dead a few days'.

Circumstantial evidence supporting their findings (condition of the decedent's body, for example) are the following: 1) Ms. Johnson's same-sex fiancée, Tila Tequila, told authorities that Ms. Johnson had not answered her telephone since December 29, 2009. 2) According to a report by TMZ online, 'Johnson- who tweeted often- last tweeted on December 29 at 1:13 AM'. And why did no concerned party visit the socialite's home to see if Ms. Johnson was okay? It's not impossible but it is improbable that socialite Casey Johnson was not expected at least one New Year's Eve party.

Ms. Johnson was engaged to her same-sex partner Tila Tequila, who tweeted on her official Twitter page after the LAPD confirmation, "R.I.P my Angel. @caseyjonsonJnJ u will forever be in my heart! I love u so so much and we will Marry when I see U in Heaven my Wifey." The Singapore-born Ms. Tequila, née Tila Nguyen- a singer, television personality, and nude model - also tweeted, "Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w family."

Despite her own tweeting, Ms. Tequila, is asking for privacy. The bereaved beauty tweeted, "This is a very heartbreaking time for me. I just want some pricacy [privacy] as I deal with the loss of my Fiance Casey Johnson. I'm (sic) heart is shredded."

As in the case with Brittany Murphy, who died on December 20, 2009 of a massive heart attack possibly brought on by a drug overdose, the LA County Coroner will likely require an autopsy and toxicology report. The cause of death has not yet been determined, although some authorities mentioned that Ms. Johnson died of natural causes. Yet, the heiress reportedly had a long history of drug abuse and had been unable to conquer her bad habits during any of her many stints in drug-and-alcohol rehabilitation centers.

Ms. Johnson leaves behind her parents, two sisters, and her adopted daughter from the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ava-Monroe, whom she lost custody of to her mother, Sale Johnson, after she was found to be living in squalor and under the influence of drugs. Sale and her ex-husband, Casey's father, Robert 'Woody' Johnson, recently cut off Casey from her trust fund because she had repeatedly failed at drug rehab centers.

I think it's kind of weird, too, that no one thought to check on her. So sad...

While this is tragic, is anyone really surprised that her life ended in such a sad, dramatic ending?
