Casino Employee Reveals Two Secrets

Jillita Horton
I know a man who heads the financial division of a major casino network in Las Vegas, and he told me what happens when someone hits the big fat jackpot.

Immediately, the winner is swarmed by casino staff and whisked away to private chambers and treated like royalty, fed delectable food and wine and whatnot, and then the winner is presented with an assortment of very expensive items, such as jewelry and Rolex watches; plus other heavily-priced items - maybe extended vacation stays at the casino hotel, wardrobes, whatever.

The whole idea is to get the winner to purchase as much of this stuff as possible. This way, the casino gets some of its money back from the jackpot! So if you ever win big in Las Vegas, don't let any suave-talking, slick-looking casino staff talk you into buying all sorts of stuff. They don't care about you! All they care about is recovering as much of that jackpot as possible.

Instead, don't spend a dime of it, and invest it in your kids' college fund, or pay off some of your mortgage or credit cards, or go on that vacation you've been trying to plan for the past decade. The casinos are filthy rich without you buying from them.

The second game that casinos play is when a person is spending huge amounts of money at the crap shooting table, or poker chip table or some other betting table. Oftentimes, this person is wealthy and has loads of money to burn. John Daly, the alcoholic, obese professional golfer, has been known to drop millions in just one evening gambling.

The casinos want these nuts to hang around for as long as possible, because the longer they hang round, the more money the casino makes off of them. So one of the casinos' ploys is to send out one of their pretty cocktail servers - but not in her cocktail uniform. Instead, she appears out of nowhere, dressed like any other casino visitor, pretending to be a tourist, and dressed provocatively.

She is told who, at the betting table, is dropping all the money. She is instructed to approach the table and get involved in all the excitement, to maybe pretend she's never been to a casino before, and to stand right next to the man blowing all his money. She then starts asking him questions, and the questions progress to flirting. The presence of some glammy young lady at his side will surely keep him sticking around a lot longer than he had planned - and this means more money for the casinos.

Of course, when he's had his fill and wants her to come to his room, she's nowhere to be found.
