Mr. Smiley was made illegal in Michigan on October 1, 2010. Mr. Fitz makes his opinion of Mr. smiley known as he prosecutes the first person to be charged with any Mr. Smiley related charges in Michigan. When Victor Fitz was asked about the people in Michigan who opposed the new law, Mr Fitz responded by saying the people's "opinion doesn't matter". Interesting. What's even more interesting is that this writer saw the footage on a television broadcast earlier this evening, but the comment was removed from the video on the channel 16 website. So much for "right to know".
The priorities of the prosecutor of Cass County have to come into question when the actions with the Mr. Smiley case are compared to the prosecutor's actions when it comes to murder. In the same day that new of the first case of prosecution involving Mr. Smiley, the news is also released that murder and murder accessory charges are dropped against a 12 year old boy that confessed to aiding in a murder in Michigan.
Prosecutor Fitz seems to have a personal grudge against Mr. Smiley, stating that Michigan "will not be sympathetic to Mr. Smiley" so people should not buy it in Indiana and bring it to Michigan.
For the record, let's set a few things straight.
Mr. Fitz, just so you know, the people's opinion does matter. You might want to try and remember who it is that pays your salary.
Please, please please someone in Michigan do some research so we can stop calling plants "synthetic". Mr. Smiley is the combination of plants and plant extracts, nothing like marijuana. It's not "synthetic marijuana". It may replace marijuana for some, but I suppose it would be just to much of a financial loss for the government and gain for the people if marijuana was decriminalized so we don't have to make laws for every weed that someone happens to try smoking. You know, you can make wine out of dandelions, so maybe we need to start working on a law against dandelions?
Seriously, we need to start worrying about things that are a bit more extreme, like say murder, meth, people who are homeless and unemployed, you know things that need to be taken care of?
