The final dancer was not revealed until after The Bachelor because, ironically enough, it was The Bachelor 2010, Jake Pavelka. I have had enough of his mug, now we get to watch his hooves. Here's hoping to an early dismissal so he can rush off to some romantic rendezvous with Vienna.
The new cast on 2010 Dancing with the Stars
The cast of the new season includes the following stars.
Pamela Anderson, of former Baywatch fame and constant sex-pot scandals will be dancing. Thankfully she hasn't had any Botox treatments in her legs. So she should be able to dance, if she can hold herself up.
This season's NFL star is Cincinnati Bengals player Chad Ochocinco. You never know how light these ball players are on their feet until you see them Dancing with the Stars. Ochocinco is a popular player. Maybe he will pull in some new viewers.
In a total shocker, Buzz Aldrin, American hero and astronaut was announced as part of the cast. We know he can walk on the moon, but can he do the moonwalk? In fact, can he still walk? I'm afraid at 80 years of age he may have a heart attack on the set. (It wouldn't be the first incident on the set of Dancing with the Stars.)
Aiden Turner will be brought in from daytime soap All My Children. In the soap opera star category we also have 90210 star Shannen Doherty.
Erin Andrews, best known for a peeping Tom's nude pictures of her, is a sportscaster who has been tapped to dance.
Niecy Nash a comedian and television actress will also dance. Unfortunately (for me) she doesn't come to the show dragging a sack of drama with her. I'll see what I can dig up before the season begins.
Two cast members who should know how to bring it to the dance floor are Nicole Scherziner, formerly of the Pussycat Dolls, and Evan Lysacek an Olympic figure skating champion.
Then, why oh why has Kate Gosselin has been invited to dance on this season of Dancing with the Stars? Can she even dance? I thought all she could do was chase her posse of kids and get snarky with them. Guess she has to pay the bills somehow since she lost Jon and Kate Plus 8, but aren't you tired of her?
It's a surprising cast. I can't wait to see the new cast fox trot and dance the hot samba. It should be an interesting season on Dancing with the Stars 2010.
