Cast of the Rosanne Show on Oprah

The cast of the "Roseanne" show, the fictional Conner family based upon Roseanne Barr's real family, appeared in taped segments on the Oprah Winfrey show featuring Roseanne Barr on February 14th, except for John Goodman, Roseanne's TV husband, who appeared live by satellite.

Part 1: Roseanne on Sex, Nuts and Incest

Sara Gilbert (tomboy, Darlene Conner) is now a mother with two kids, 6-year-old Levi and 3-year-old Sawyer. Gilbert said that Roseanne was always "really loving" to her and the other kids on the show. She credited Roseanne as her inspiration for her current gig: "The Talk."

Michael Fishman, who was only son, D.J. (David Jacob) from the ages of 6 to 15 on "Roseanne", said "I had about 200 aunts and uncles who taught me everything I needed to know for life." He is still in the entertainment business as a D.J. and writer and has two beautiful kids. Roseanne, he said, "is like a second mom" to him.

Becky Conner was the oldest quick-tempered over-achieving daughter. The "Original Becky," Alicia (Lecy) Goranson, said she walked away from the show to go to college. She has been doing theater and independent films since then. She said what she remembers most about the show is the laughter.

Sarah Chalke, or "Second Becky," said Roseanne is one of the "smartest, funniest people" she ever met. She is engaged and has a one-year-old son named Charlie and is now the main character, Katie, in the TV sitcom "Mad Love." Being on "Roseanne" didn't just help her career, she said: "It gave me my career."

John Goodman (Dan Conner) appeared live by satellite from New York City. He told Roseanne "those goats agree with you," referring to Roseanne's current life as a farmer on a 50-acre nut farm in Hawaii. The thing about Roseanne, her onscreen hubby said, that would most surprise her fans is the way Roseanne could take a script and just "get all the baloney" out of it. John is currently working with Glenn Close on former FX series "Damages," which will air exclusively on DirecTV this summer.

Finally, Laurie Metcalf, who played Jackie, Roseanne's sister (inspired by Roseanne's real sister, Geraldine) on the show. She now does theater and was also the voice of Andy's mother on "Toy Story." Roseanne taught her so much about acting and "a lot about fearlessness," Laurie said, "The woman is brilliant, she truly is."
