Castaways Return on Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains

The CBS hit 'Survivor' is returning for its 20th edition Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, on Thursday, February 22, 2010. The latest edition of the show, that led the reality TV craze brings back the best strategists from previous editions of the bugging eating, back stabbing reality series. CBS has already announced that they have ordered the 21st and 22nd installments of the longest running reality competition in broadcast TV. Emmy winner Jeff Probst hosts Survivor.

In 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains,' the best strategists of previous installments will return to overcome, or embrace, the labels placed upon them in their return appearances. Gathering the most memorable of the Survivor contestants into the 20th installment should make the often cringe worthy reality series entertaining for the fans.

On February 4, 2010, CBS is broadcasting a special episode, "Surviving Survivor' with ten alumni talking about their experiences on Survivor. Castaways on 'Surviving Survivor' include 'The View Host Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Rupert Boneham, Tom Westman, Benjamin 'Coach' Wade, Jerry Manthey, Stephanie LaGrossa, Russell Hantz, Cirie Fields, Colby Donaldson, James Clement, Pavati Shallow, Colby Donaldson, Russell Hantz and Richard Hatch.

According to a press release from CBS, 'Survivor' continues to lead in the ratings. CBS announced that the fall, 2009 installment, Survivor: Samoa, won in its Thursday time period in viewers that included the sought after demographics: Adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

Survivor premiered in May, 2000 and has anchored the Thursday lineup since February, 2001. In 2001, Survivor won an Emmy Award in the 'Outstanding Non-Fiction Program (special class) category. Host Jeff Probst won two Emmys for the series.
