Castro has been writing regular articles of the newspapers in Cuba. He has been spending a lot of time criticizing the United States, and the Bush Administration. The most recent target for his criticism came this Sunday as he attacked the CIA in print.
Castro believes that the CIA introduced the documents in an attempt to have the American people believe that all of these illegal activities of the CIA are historical. He believes that the CIA wants people to believe that the CIA and United States no longer commits acts like those that are defined in the newly declassified documents.
Castro believes that the United States still carries out the acts that are brought up in the documents. He believes that the CIA has gotten more brutal over the years, and will continue to get worse if the rest of the world does not investigate them.
Castro spent time in the article going over the documentation that showed the CIA's intent in having him assassinated. He believes that it is humorous that they only listed one such attempt since he believes that the United States government has made hundreds of attempts on his life over the years.
He also believes that the United States government has made hundreds of attempts on the lives of other world leaders and will continue to since no one is strong enough to question them. He points to many assassination attempts over the years as being led by the United States or by the CIA.
In the last year, Castro has led the Cuban government in joining with Venezuela in verbally attacking the United States and the Bush Administration. The two nations have entered into an agreement that one will protect the other if the United States, or any other country attacks one of them.
Castro has gone on record in the last few months as stating that he believes that the United States will attack Cuba in the near future. He believes that Cuba or Venezuela will be the next targets by the Bush Administration in their, "forceful spreading of democracy." He has told the Cuban military that they should be on a high alert for a foreign attack.
