Cat Booty and the Smell of a New World

A dynamic of identity. The nostrils working at the backside of its mate. And hesitating, leaning back as the brain-memory engages the odor and the transmission of information. The mouth slightly open, as if tasting, and momentarily indifferent to the rest of the world.

The behavior is not different from the way humans receive pleasure, the mannerisms employed literally that of the cat's: the tussle, the aggressive path to love. We humans are like cats, if a lot less graceful.

Years ago, I worked with a gentleman in the theater. My friend was an architect by trade, talented and knowledgeable in both arenas. At the time, he was dating a man half his age, and I recall him stating, "I can't get enough of that ass of his, tastes just like peanut butter!"

Fondly, I think of the many ways to service the body of a lover, at any age, in any way. Then a cat's actions, intimately focused, nose to booty, seem to pale in complexity. Of course, we are more intelligent than the cat. But never forget about the proficient athleticism and artistry demonstrated by your feline friend: maintain your curiosity, say "yes" to creativity. Then take your lover in the same spirit!

Create and play. Stay as long as you can. In your new world.
