Did you know that many Bay Area shelters in California are forced to euthanize thousands of kittens yearly, according to Tails of the City from the SF Gate?

But you can help change their fate.

"The San Jose Animal Care Center takes in more than 11,000 cat and kittens annually and nearly 2,500 of those are euthanized for no other reason than being too young," says sfgate.com. "While the East Bay SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) doesn't euthanize animals, organizers are in desperate need of foster families."

To help address the current kitten crisis, Pet Food Express is offering 20 percent off all kitten food and supplies at all 35 of its stores for customers interested in making a donation to help shelter programs, according to research.
