Catch Me
Am I going to need someone to catch me?
Or are you not going to let me fall?
You've been a part of my life for so long now
What would I ever do without you?
How would I live and breathe without you by my side?
Who will I talk to? Who would I run to?
Who would listen to everything I have to say?
I know it is time to take a chance and move forward.
But once we have, there is no turning back.
So what will I do if you decide you don't really want me after all?
What would I do if even our friendship doesn't survive?
Will I be able to pick up the pieces?
Will I be able to move on by myself?
I'd like to believe you have the best intentions in all of this
But I can't help wondering if I should have a safety net...
Something warm and strong
And capable of catching me if I fall.
