Catch a Page View or Two

May 20, 2010 was one of my most memorable days as a contributor for the original Associated Content. If you read the article that is linked at the end of this article you will understand why that day was special for me.

March 19, 2011 was another memorable day for me as a contributor for the Yahoo! Contributor Network. Unfortunately, this day in no way was special for me. That was the day that my entire library of articles and slideshows produced a total of two page views. To the best of my recollection this is the worst performance that my content ever produced.

In the few days that followed that feat, I worried that I that might get pitched a page view shutout. Fortunately, March 19, 2011 must have been an anomaly. Since than my page view numbers have rebounded a bit.

Ditto what Mike said! Nancy Canfield, last year, had her Elizabeth Taylor story published months after Taylor died.

Why are these old articles being sent out now, eight months after publication? Just curious.

Heh heh congrats on your successes. We should all enjoy our little wins when they come, no matter how small or big they warrant the same celebration. If only you could have seen my face when I got an article posted to Yahoo! News :D

    It's a mystery indeed!

pageviews are a complete mystery to me. Granted, I just don't do high look-at-me topics apparently as my best day was 65 pageviews. However, I hadn't published or done anything new or different on that day. It was just, bam 65 views. The next day was like 5, and the day after that was average at about 20.

I'm doing all I can, Han. I'm reading and clicking. If I haven't commented on an article, that doesn't mean I haven't read it. I'm pickin'-N-clickin'

    Succinct. Thanks!
