Catch Some Sound Z's

Health comes first. And for that a lot of factors need to be considered. One such factor is the mattress that provides support for prolonged periods to the entire muscle and bone structure. Naturally, the question regarding the latex, memory foam and the intersprings come up; one might argue on the context of the memory foam, but the fact remains that it is one of the most popular mattress building materials of the recent times and more and more people are accepting it, bidding goodbye to the age-old materials like conventional foam. Hence, this little discussion.

Comparing between mattresses is a gargantuan task, but narrowing down the options makes it much easier. The current trend is to go for memory foams and more and more people are opting for it out of a craze. But where does the difference lies when it comes to comparing between latex, memory foam and intersprings? We shall define, but a brief account of all the three first.

1. Latex: The product from the rubber trees, Latex found its usage in a wide variety of products from rubber bands to mattresses. Being expensive, many of the mattresses producing companies add clay and petro-chemicals to it to make it go farther. These chemicals, however, prove harmful in the long run.

2. Memory Foam: Visco-elastic foam being its other name, it is open cell foam that responds to the weight and heat of the body and relieves pressure.

3. InterSprings: Been into use for over a century, the interspring revolutionized the mattress industry by replacing cotton with steel springs. These intersprings are defines as a flexible frame surface that supports a mattress from the insides. The typical construction of interspring mattresses is as follows: box springs (coiled bedsprings in a frame that is covered with cloth are used on top of a steel frame which raises the mattress higher off the floor. The mattress thus becomes replaceable without replacing the box springs, but often foundations (rigid springs) are used to deceive customers.

While the interspring forces the body to adapt to its shape, memory foam supports and conforms to the body shape. High-density memory foam is still better, but if it's a question regarding therapeutic qualities, perhaps nothing beats latex. The latex foam is designed to help relieve pressure points and improve blood circulation and is usually long-lasting; extended life-span of a latex foam mattress can easily reach twenty or thirty years without going down on its magical qualities. Thus, latex is also considered durability in form. Other advantages of latex are it gets warm in winter and cool in the summer. High-density, is again, the keyword.

However, there shall always be separate sectors that would give one type an upper hand over the others; what we spoke here is all about the utilities of latex, memory foam and intersprings and it is not about discriminating any particular type. But lastly, it pays to follow the head rather than the heart when it comes to buying a mattress, choose between the three types as per the requirements.
