Catching the Holy Ghost?

While visiting this church, I was curious as to why this woman repeatedly paced the floor. I assumed she had Cystitis and must be running back and forth to the restroom. Next, I witnessed many Christians screaming, shaking with repetitive bodily jerks and twists resulting in injury. I was appalled and asked my sister, "What are they doing? Why is that woman running down the aisle?" She stated, "They're catching the Holy Ghost." I said, "God's Holy Spirit (Ghost)." She said, "Yes." I'll relay this teaching with sensitivity, but truly some will still take offense, particularly those who are comfortable with tradition. God would oppose Christians injuring themselves, and what's rightfully offensive is stating that they're catching His Holy Spirit. Where in biblical history can man prove this movement is His Holy Spirit? The tradition of man has hoodwinked Christians for decades.

God's spirit is love, joy, peace.... I've never read testimony in the Bible that God's servants sought medical treatment after receiving the Holy Spirit. Catching the Holy Ghost is contradictive based on the traditions description. There would be much calamity while under the influence of the Holy Ghost. Christians drive, fly planes, and perform surgeries. Imagine these Christians catching the Holy Ghost, or will you now say you only catch the Holy Ghost in church (where it's safe). The Holy Spirit lives within us, we simply don't catch it. I believe Christians are experiencing God's presence when they're emotional, crying tears of joy, and spiritually uplifted. People, this is giving God glory. This is praise and worship. Remember David danced for the Lord. This is praising be it through singing, preaching, or dancing, but not injury. The Holy Ghost is beautiful, not detrimental for your health. I don't allow the ministers to lay hands on me while pushing me on the floor. That's assault and I will prosecute! This may be facetious and heart crushing to learn, but Christians must pray that God fills them with spiritual wisdom, and above all the Word states if you ask God for His Holy Spirit, He'll give it to you. Amen.
