Catholicism's Secret Plan to Destroy the World

God Does Not Want You to Have 15 Children

Let me start by giving you the names of some of the countries with the highest living standards in the world. There's Sweden, Norway, Finland, Canada, and Iceland, to name some of the top ones. Now, what do all these countries have in common (besides residing in colder climates)? Well, the answer is, a low population. That's not to say that there are not many people living in the aforementioned countries, but in terms of the size of the country the population density is very low. Now, you may argue that countries like Sweden and Canada have higher standards of living than the U.S. and other countries because they have better healthcare/education/ect systems, and this is certainly true. However, the simple fact is that the quality of life increases as population decreases. Therefore, logically, the inverse is true.

And this is where Catholicism comes in.

I'm talking about Catholicism's refusal to promote the use of birth control. The argument that people have as many children as they are meant to would have been a semi-rational statement.... about two-thousand years ago. The fact is, advances in medicine have disrupted the natural survival rate of children. Whereas in ancient times, a woman would be lucky if one or two of her children survived out of half a dozen births, it's a rarity in this day and age if an infant does not survive being born. I'm not saying that we should promote promiscuity by handing out pills and condoms, but this goes beyond morality. Birth control is simply necessary to quell the rising population of the earth. As population continues to rise, food and resources become scarcer as they are stretched thin to try and meet the needs of the growing population (those that are lucky enough to have food, that is), overcrowding begins to plague cities and disease and crime spread exponentially. Eventually, wars may break out as people fight for whatever remaining resources they can, assuming climate change hasn't killed off most of the population by then.

Of course, by then the rapture will have arrived, and it won't even matter, right?

Hmm.. interesting viewpoint. I do agree that the Catholic Church is out of date with their stand on birth control.
