Cats Purebred Are Costly

Purebred Cats Are Expensive when Bought at a Breeder

Sondra C
It is always best to adopt Bengal cats or kitten from the SPCA, or another shelter that cares for and does not put kittens to sleep if they are not adopted. Purebred Bengal cats or kittens have to be purchased through the breeder and registered in the Cat Registry as pure bred. One of the most popular pure breed cats is the Bengal and once you look at its' spots you know why. I took one look and fell in love with this cat.

1.
Buy a kitten like the purebred Bengal so you can become a breeder. As a breeder you will be allowed to enter enter the kittens into the purebreed cats competitions. The more contests the cat or kitten wins, the more money you can ask for when you are ready to sell the kittens.

2.
Pure blood Bengal kittens earn a substantial amount of money for the breeders. The amount depends on the cats' breed line. When you buy your first purebred cat or kitten look up the history of their parents. Also, have the kittens examined by a veterinarian to be certain that the cats or kitten is healthy.

3.
Buy a purebred kitten or cat from a trusted Bengal cat breeder who knows all about its' disposition and how the kittens will act with children and other animals. Check out the environment that the cat or kitten lives in. Make sure that their food bowls are clean and their litter box emptied. You do not want to buy a sick kitten.

4.
Buy any Bengal kitten from a breeder and remember to get the cats adoption papers. This will tell you their lineage way back to generations of their breed. This will take the guesswork out of wondering what they will look like when they are full grown.

Tips & Warnings

1. When you are ready to adopt a purebred Bengal cat, search the Internet for that particular breed. Read about them from books in a bookstore. Make sure you like them as much grown as they are as kittens.

2. Make sure that you love this cat's breed and are willing to spend a great deal of money to buy them.

3. Find out what type of food to feed them.

4. Make sure that you know what you are buying and who you are buying the cats from. Check credentials.

Good point about adopting them from a shelter. There are so many homeless animals. :-(

Yes, Bengals are beautiful...but I will do my research too before going to the shelter. No wonder you are a featured article writer....and many times at that.

Bengals are beautiful, definitely research any breed of cat before bringing them home. My favorite breed of cat is a Birman, I have done so much research on the breed and I think it is a perfect fit for me.

My Bengals just eat regular hard cat food. I have 2 of them, and we declawed them and got them fixed. I bought them because of their personality, not for breeding. They're like having 2 year olds around all the time. Great article you have here. I enjoyed it.
