Caught Up in You

H. Kris Thomas
I can feel your nails dig into my shoulders.
When did you develop such grip?
You, my dear, are perfection
Thanks for that

And you drag me straight across the pavement
I am floored by you
Swept and carried on the wind by you
By your smile and your sweet breath

You tell me, Fancy
That you have found perfection in this body of mine
In my smile, in my spirit,
And in my mind

I am lost, I tell you
Unable to see the perfection that you speak of
Come and see, you request
I can guarantee, you say
I will look for no new face
Just your face

Alright, I sing
Because I believe in you
Like I believe in the sky
Like I believe in God
You know I don't sing and beg for approval
But your love means more to me than
I could say

You are my a gift
And in you -liberation
I took hold of you
Pocketing my newfound freedom in you

At times, I wander the night sky
My foot bottoms touching the brightest stars as
I leap and dance upon the galaxies of this vast, vast Universe

To the ground-
You bring me home
Secure in the middle
Secure on the edge
What crisis could befall me when
I stand beside you, Precious?

Raising our voices
This music is ours
These feet of mine are planted
Rooted in the ground beside you
Where you go, I go
Where you are, I want to be

My eyes
My spirit
You've touched parts of me that are out of sight
Even parts of me you may never know

We are caught up in love and life
I can see you caught up in me
You see I am caught up in you

I really like this poem. Very smooth and easy to follow.
