When the husband cannot perform these roles due to financial impoverishment, this can make the wife to look elsewhere for succor.

Lack of sexual satisfaction can promote infidelity. Where either the husband or wife is denied sexual intercourse or fails to satisfy the sexual curiosity of the other partner, this can make the other partner to seek for sexual satisfaction outside.

When either of the couple in marriage is involved in extra marital affair (s), the other partner can take to it as retaliatory measure afterall what is good for goose is also good for the gander.
