Causes of Inflation and Remedies

The Greedy and the Wasteful Are Enemies of Economic Recovery

LarrWayne Po
The event of September 11, 2001 sparked the fire that began a down swing in the economy even until now to some degree. A national minimum wage hike, perhaps based upon a minimum wage needed in California, stunned some small business owners. Some shops closed down, and as a result, some of these jobs moved out of the country.

What causes inflation? The price of fuel, can be considered to be the number one enemy of a country's economy, next to the enemy, themselves. Fuel is required to help provide food, water, and necessary clothing and shelter for the majority of the population in the USA. Oil companies get money for providing fuel for farm equipment, and later get money for providing fuel for the transportation of food. If the price of fuel, fell a dollar per gallon, within a week, the economy would see improvement and would not slow down, unless those imposing taxes, quickly responded and added a dollar tax onto the price of a gallon of fuel, which would then cripple the economy again.

Consider this: If the price of fuel goes up 25 cents per gallon, the price of a loaf of bread, goes up in a matter of days. Why? The price of fueling farm equipment, goes up. Also, the price of delivering wheat to bakeries, goes up. The price of delivering bread to stores, goes up. The price of going to a store to buy bread goes up. (As a result, when the price of fuel and bread, go up for employers, the business owners have less money to pay to employees and may have to reduce wages of workers or lay some employees off). Any elected officials, that choose to ignore the reality that fuel prices effect an economy, are acting irresponsibly, and need to be voted out of office, as soon as possible.

Greediness is likely public enemy number two in reference to a countries' economy. Greedy leaders of countries, that want to take over other countries and rob them, create additional costs for nations' national defense. Greedy tax imposers, greedy providers of food and products, and greedy workers. that want a government check in addition to there full time. under the table income, are amongst those causing inflated prices. (People, that want unnecessary money from a government, are burdens of the people. Inflated prices hit the poor the hardest). Did not greedy tax imposers, eventually, lead to the American Revolution in the 18th century?

Wastefulness is likely public enemy number three . The costs of socialism, can grow like an unwanted cancer, if too many irrational government officials get involved. Providing housing for those, other than the needy is acting wastefully. (A vote buying technique at the people's expense). Socialist ideas, when full grown, can create a country, that has 1/2 or less of the country's population working to provide for all. (A communist dream come true, let 1/2 the population provide food and shelter for the other 1/2). Wasn't Kuwaiti a country, that had 1/2 the population working for the other 1/2, when Saddam Hussein moved in and easily took over?

Wasteful and could care less employers and employees, just pass the costs of their too lazy to think or move attitudes, on to the consumers. The end result can mean their higher adjusted prices will tempt many to spend their money elsewhere or overseas.

An example of a wasteful employer or employee attitude is: The door is open and the air conditioner is on,while it is a hundred degrees outside, but I want to be lazy right now. (Wasting company money, not only can mean no pay increase, it can lead to being jobless, because the company went out of business. Putting American companies out of business, is eliminating the competition for foreign companies, which in the long run can mean higher prices for foreign goods, because they have no competition).

Some politicians seem to enjoy borrowing money from overseas, so the money can be used to buy votes or sent overseas to please foreigner interests. This is another example of being wasteful. Who is supposed to pay for all of this? Current and future tax payers will get the unpaid bill, while some wealthy politicians are probably making plans for a long retirement with a life of leisure. when they leave office. Some politicians appear to enjoy slowing down the drilling of oil in America. What does this mean? It means money will continue to leave this country at a fast pace, to satisfy the country's need for foreign oil.

This is another way of wasting time for our economies' recovery. Do not throw away out of date vegetable oil. Out of date cooking oils can be used as lubricants for engines and more, just as coal based oil can, without diminishing the nation's food supply. Of course, in addition, used cooking oil can be used to power diesel engines.

An economic recovery may be on its way. Just think more, care more, and waste less. If billionaire oil owners lessened their grip on pennies today, an up swing in the economy would begin tomorrow.
