C.B. Jones Presents: A Concise, and to the Point Review of Google Chrome

C.B. Jones
It's...different. The feel of the entire browsing experience is slightly altered by Chrome's use of tabs. Each tab looks like a separated window, with it's own address bar and everything. This makes the layout cleaner and more stylish than most other browsers.

From my experiences, speed is sluggish. Pages don't load nearly as fast as they do in FF3. Pages with a fairly small amount of visual data don't appear as fast as they do in other browsers I use. Not sure what to make of this really...

My synopsis: Good start, but I want more. Where is the customization? Where are the plug-ins that make everyone's internet experience unique? The loading problem could be remedied with a flash blocker, I'm sure of it.

Where's the "wow factor" that every browser is supposed to have in order to grab the attention of those poor souls who still use Internet Explorer? the reason Microsoft has a choke hold on the web browser market is because most don't see a reason to use anything but IE.

Does Chrome have advanced security features? Does it it cut down on fuel emissions? Is there a chance of Chrome being used to cure cancer? There needs to be some kind of hook. Open Source, and developed by Google labs isn't gonna cut it.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking about trying out Chrome, but now I'm thinking not. My computer is sluggish enough as it is.

Google Chrome does have some really advanced security features, as well as some new JavaScript technology, but it is sluggish right now. I expect that will be fixed once the beta is over. Great review, and I love your picture for the article!

I have read yesterday for the first time that Google has launced his browser and want to become a competitor of Microsoft. If I read your review they have plenty of work but who knows they will succeed after some time. I am going to wait for installing this google browser.

    Thanks for sharing this information

Great article! I've heard of this but didn't know that much about it, until now!

Don't get me started on the C64...

3 out of four commenters never heard about Chrome's release. Great, now I feel like some kind of super nerd. I'm surprised that this hasn't made Moby-Dick-having-a-seizure sized waves online. I wonder if Android will sneak up on people as well.

I just upgraded from a Commadore 64. So, I'll just take your word for it.

    Haven't heard of this.
