CBS Announces New Top Shows for 2011-2012 Season

CBS is really kicking things into high gear and this couldn't be more apparent than making a new record. The 2011-2012 television series has only begun and CBS has already performed an amazing feat: having 20 programs listed in the top 30 television shows. Not bad for only three weeks into the season. The news was reported by CBS through their media site.

According to CBS, the top 20 television programs for the first three weeks of the new season are as follows.

  • Two and a Half Men
  • NCIS: Los Angeles
  • The Big Bang Theory
  • 2 Broke Girls
  • Criminal Minds
  • The Mentalist
  • 60 Minutes
  • Unforgettable
  • Mike and Molly
  • Person of Interest
  • CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
  • Hawaii Five-O
  • Blue Bloods
  • The Good Wife
  • Survivor: South Pacific
  • How I Met Your Mother
  • CSI: NY
  • CSI: Miami
  • The Amazing Race

In a previous statement, CBS announced they were leading with three day playback on live and same day viewing. These shows include "Two and a Half Men," "The Mentalist," Hawaii Five-O," "Criminal Minds," "CSI," "NCIS," "Blue Bloods," "Big Bang Theory," "Criminal Minds," and "Hawaii Five-O." The data used for CBS' announcement comes from "Nielson Npower" data released for September 9, 2011 through September 30, 2011.
