"CBS Scene" Restaurant and Bar, Foxboro, MA: A Review

Good Food Plus Excellent Location, a Hard Combination to Beat

Any review of "CBS Scene", Foxboro, MA. probably should begin with a summary of what a great place this is to soak up your legal limit of all things sports. Surrounded by the appropriate bar and dining facilities, "CBS Scene" can easily succeed in delighting sports nuts with its omnipresent screens, shifting views, table televisions and live broadcasts. In any given week "CBS Scene" will offer a nice variety of tasty appetizers and entrees coupled with a great menu of top sports events. Quite a combination for the hungry sports enthusiast.

If you plan your dining/sports viewing schedule carefully you can chow down from o a menu bulging with favorites of American cuisine from chicken and beef dishes to Southwestern favorites and catch your favorite local sports team in action. The "CBS Scene" website can help you out with its weekly listing of what's being shown when . Celtics, Bruins and Patriots are frequently on tap. But you will also find College football and Monday night football are also part of the offering here in season. The number of screens, including your own table-side screen make watching sports just plain fun.

But here's the thing, you make a mistake if you pass on going to "CBS Scene" because you aren't a with it sports fan or under forty. Thinking it through we have discovered ""CBS Scene" has something even for the older crowd as well. We like to visit "CBS Scene" in the quieter hours of early afternoon on a week day. And why not, "CBS Scene" in Foxboro, MA is opened from 11:30 a.m - 11:30 pm weekdays.

We order from the same menu that all the sports guru types use and access the same bar facility should we choose to. We can use our table side television and watch whatever is on the big screens and we can do it all in relative peace and quiet. On our last visit we found ourselves a relatively secluded booth but one which allowed us to watch a live radio broadcast team featuring former Patriot Scott Zolack without any crowds or much noise.

On an early fall day we sat out on the "CBS Scene" outdoor elevated patio and enjoyed the sunshine, fresh air and an unobstructed view of Gillette Stadium. Granted there was no game going on but the ambiance was delightful. We enjoyed well prepared and presented meals, served by cordial but not overpowering waitresses and dined quite well thank you for about $25. For senior citizens on a budget this was a nice treat but it wasn't over.

Visiting "CBS Scene" for us means opening the door to all the rest of what is available at Patriot Place. Once just a dream, the reality of Patriot Place is almost as impressive as its founders had hoped for. Going to "CBS Scene" can initiate an afternoon seeing a current movie at the nextdoor DeLux Cinema, taking a stroll through the nearby shops or by the entrance to the football staudium at rest. When the weather is inviting, taking a half mile walk on the Patriot Place Nature Trail can be the perfect, and needed, follow up to an over indulgent meal.

Not everyone would agree, but for us any review of the "CBS Scene" needs to include this recognition the location in which you find yourself when your meal is done. If it does then "CBS Scene" will get high marks all the way around.
