CBS Week 13 NFL Broadcast Schedule (2010 Season)

CBS has four early games or 1:00 pm starts in week 13 of the NFL season on December 5th and one late (4:05 pm) start. The five games all look to be competitive games on paper with only injuries keeping them less competitive.

Jacksonville @ Tennessee
The best early game might be between divisional foes Jacksonville and Tennessee in a game to be played in Nashville. Vince Young is sidelined having been placed on the injured reserve list with a thumb injury that will require surgery. Kerry Collins the 16-year veteran quarterback is also injured with a calf injury and it has been reported that Rusty Smith the rookie will start for the Titans...that will bring the game toward Jacksonville and they might be able to win this one. I don't know how a rookie quarterback can be thrown in like that and swim in a pressure game.

Cleveland @ Miami
Cleveland visits Miami in another early CBS game and by then we'll see the progress of inexperienced quarterback Tyler Thigpen...Cleveland might be able to go to Miami and dominate the game enough to win with their bruising running game and wear out what will be a defense under pressure to cause turnovers. Without wide receiver Brandon Marshall the unproven Thigpen will be further tested to find intermediate routes to move the ball. Miami is in trouble unless Tyler Thigpen learns fast. The injuries to Miami's top two quarterbacks has made this game very competitive where it might not have been otherwise.

Buffalo @ Minnesota
Buffalo goes to Minnesota in a game where there might be a lot of points, but I expect the Vikings to turn around their offense with the new head coach and in spite of whatever the team's beef is with Brett Favre and former caoch Brad Childress. I expect the Vikes to look good coming down the stretch and to win games as Favre closes out his career.

Denver @ Kansas City
Denver goes to Kansas City in a game that the home team should win and the Chiefs are at home in this one...they lead their division and can be expected to win this one. The Chiefs are 6-4 and can put up big offensive numbers when they need to.

Oakland @ San Diego
The late game on CBS in week 13 is between Oakland and San Diego...the game is at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego and the Chargers should dominate this one since their early season problems have been resolved. Early this year the Chargers were having problems on special teams, but those issues have been resolved after the Chargers got to their third long snapper--the other two got injured--who was able to work out timing issues on punts, extra points, and field goal attempts. The Chargers might win out the schedule...the Raiders might look stupid next week against San Diego.
