CD Market in Ho Chi Minh City

When you read this articles, HCMC - Ho Chi Minh city still lack of the international music. Most of the music in HCMC just come from the famous shown in TV. The market is short of music type and deficient in the amount of singer. The music market is just show the favorite of the seller. However, there are some coffee shop have good music.

The music here, in HCMC is just the copy from the famous music channel like MTV Asia, Billboard, VH1 and in the internet. I can easily find a new pop song just shown in MTV twelve hours pass in a cd shop on the street. And when i play them, the logo of the channel still on the top right of the screen. The sound quality is bad. Sometimes, the video isn't matched with the lyric. There are still some cd shop have the original disk, but the number of this is quite low just about three or four store have.

This might be the important info for people want to invest this area. The information is about the type of music is very low but the hobbies of the audiences are growing for hours. The cd shop just have few type of music like pop, rock, classical and just one third of the authors of those kinds of music shown there. All i find about rock and classical music is from two or four year ago.

The last thing is the quality of music. All the music just show the like of the buyer. They sell what they like not the audiences like. One time, i want to find the dvd show the world drum conference in 2003 and 2005 and you know what, it take me 3 months to search all the city to find. However, i cann't find. At last, i have to ask my friend in America send me those disks.

In spire of there are many disappointed about the cd, there are still some coffee shop have good music at night. Normally, the music here is live music and is stated every 9 p.m at night. The songs here still are the foreign cover rock song but the quality are quite good. There are many foreigner go to those coffee shops. The audiences enjoy to go to those shop not only for the song but also the atmosphere in those place. There, people can meet each others, listening to the song, talking friends, making new friends.
