CD Review: "Vapour, Water, Ice" by Kerygma Worship Team

I was intrigued from the minute I received the email asking me to download and review this CD. The email contained the basic information on Kerygma a Christian Worship ministry based out of India. "Wait" I thought to myself India that's considered hostel territory for most Christian missions and ministries. These men and women are pretty bold in their faith to lead a Music Worship Ministry there. So I began downloading their tracks to "Vapour, Water, Ice" and checked out their website www.ikerygma.com and blog http://kerygmaworship.blogspot.com/ both sites contained amazing information and resources from Kerygma Worship Ministries.

Their website contains not only the blog, but also free ring tone versions of their worship songs, the Cord Charts/lyrics/Sheet music to all their songs offered on the CD in PDF format, and even the Overhead Projector slides for lyrics in Windows Power Point, Open Office, and Open Song file formats downloads. It was there on the Kerygma Worship blog in their post for December explains the CD Title "Vapour, Water, Ice" and how it came about. Quoted here in part is the explanation of the CD Title from http://kerygmaworship.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

"Wrestled for awhile with "Father, Son and Spirit" unable to get the idea of the Trinity out of my mind. The track list is also assembled in a manner stressing on the Trinity. Somehow felt the album title should also reflect this.

Was thinking about "Spirit, Water and Blood" (from1 John 5:8), when it hit me that water can exist as solid, liquid or gas, 3 states, one element. Cool representation of 3 persons, one God.

"Vapour, Water, Ice" it shall be.

Satisfied."

So the CD finished downloading after I extracted the zipped files and loaded them into Windows Media Player. I was greeted with some well produced, performed and written worship songs. "Vapour, Water, Ice" contains 10 tracks mixing some from the traditional with more modern Christian Rock style songs. The songwriters, singers, and musicians gifts and talents are amazing and even a touch of their Indian heritage shines through in parts of their music with sitar, and flute, mixing well with distorted electric guitars, modern synthesizers, and drums. One of my personal favorite tracks on this CD is the rocking and catchy song "Sweet Anointing (Rain Down)"
If your looking for some new worship songs to enjoy I recommend checking out "Vapor, Water, Ice" and the other great resources available from Kerygma Worship Team.
