CD-R King EC-Q22 22-inch LCD TV Review

We are now seeing LCD and LED TVs and monitors dominating the market completely and we're most likely seeing the end of the mainstream CRT televisions. Apart from its energy-saving capabilities, LCD and LED TVs have certain features that enhance viewing such as full HD output. It depends on the brand and model but most LCD and LED TVs have them. There are quite a lot of them around. Some are really expensive and some are quite cheap. Cheap ones oftentimes have a lot of critics. Most of them say that since they are cheap, they are impractical to buy compared to the branded and expensive ones. Among these cheap LCD TVs is the CD-R King EC-Q22 22" LCD TV.

The EC-Q22 is your typical LCD TV. It has a native resolution of 1360x768 and capable of displaying 16.7 million colors. Connectivity isn't a problem since it has S Video, Composite, Component, HDMI and VGA for PC. It has an actual 21.5" viewable screen. Its stand is quite firm however the back panel is quite bulky compared to a lot of LCD flat screens.

The EC-Q22 performs quite well as your standard PC monitor. It's quite interesting though since right now, its native PC resolution is at 1920x1080. Nevertheless, the colors are great and the images are crisp especially when you're playing PC 3D games. It is capable of running at a very low resolution of 800x600 but of course, it's blocky and could be misaligned.

Watching television is a joy with this LCD TV. I even tried using a regular indoor antenna and everything's clear. It still performs quite well when watching DVDs on a DVD player or even game consoles. I hooked up my old Playstation 2 and the games look amazing.

Another good thing about the EC-Q22 is its speaker. It's loud. Although it doesn't have the same quality as home theater speakers or branded separate speakers, it's more than enough for you to understand voices and appreciate music and sound effects.

The EC-Q22 is the latest 22" LCD TV model of CD-R King. The most attractive aspect of this LCD TV is its price. It's only 6,500 pesos which is roughly $150. CD-R King outlets are scattered throughout Manila and some even have 2 of them in just one mall. Not all of them may have the specific model but you can ask them to coordinate with another branch, nearest one probably, if you're looking for an item.

CD-R King's reputation is quite famous. It does have somewhat a bad reputation because a lot of CD-R King's items have been found defective. They are indeed very cheap but the quality of the items is questionable. Some are even hesitant just to buy a mouse what more to buy an LCD TV? But to be fair, their products are good and the LCD TV has a 1-year warranty. So far, it's been with me for more than a month now and there are no problems at all.

With its price and capabilities, the CD-R King EC-Q22 is a very good buy. The best thing to do is try it out before you buy it. Use it for a TV, PC and if possible gaming or movie player. With a year of warranty to back it up, I would really say go for it.
