Summer is here, and summer means fun! Cedar Point, located in Sandusky, Ohio, is one of the world's largest and most thrilling amusement parks. I have created a must-read visitors guide that focuses on the 17 mighty roller coasters located in the park.

The Blue Streak is Cedar Point's oldest ride. This wooden roller coaster has more than 6 hills, with the largest reaching 78 feet! Speeds reach up to 40 mph.

In this dark ride, riders become astronauts in an enclosed area. 3D glasses are available to create a spooky 3D effect. Speeds can reach 40 mph.

The Gemini features two cars, one blue and one red, which compete to be the first to finish. Running side-by-side, speeds can reach 60 mph on this thrilling ride including a 118-foot vertical drop.

Iron Dragon: Thrill Level 4 - Over 46"

This suspended coaster is perfect for a mild thrill. Riders fly above the trees before soaring over a misty pool. Nice and refreshing, the Iron Dragon only reaches about 35-40 mph, creating an entertaining riding experience.

Jr. Gemini: Thrill Level 2 - Between 36" and 54" or riding with a child under 54".

Designed to prepare riders for faster roller coasters or its counterpart, the Gemini, the Jr. Gemini attracts many young riders eager for thrills. Speeds only reach 6 mph, allowing young children to ride fearlessly.

Magnum XL-200: Thrill Level 5 - Over 48"

Towering 205 feet above the ground, the Magnum XL-200 is one of the nation's best steel roller coasters. Featuring one of the world's steepest drops at 60 degrees, the Magnum XL-200 winds over Lake Erie before returning to land. Speeds reach a whopping 72 mph!

The Mantis, a stand-up ride, is a unique, thrilling ride at Cedar Point. Providing many screams, the Mantis includes a first hill reaching 145 feet into the sky! With speeds reaching 60 mph, this roller coaster is one of the best that Cedar Point has to offer.

Maverick: Thrill Level 5 - Over 52"

Built in 2007, the Maverick is the newest addition to Cedar Point. With speeds reaching 70 mph, the Maverick includes eight airtime hills and two circular corkscrew rolls. The Maverick, located in Frontiertown, is waiting to be conquered!

Mean Streak: Thrill Level 5 - Over 48"

Although the Mean Streak is made entirely from yellow pine, it still packs a punch! Found on the beautiful edge of the Cedar Point peninsula, the Mean Streak features speeds that reach 65 mph and drops that create a no-gravity feeling.

With cars that represent "top-fuel dragsters," the Top Thrill Dragster takes riders straight up 420 feet and then plummets them back down at speeds of 120 mph! However, at the top of the ride, the coaster twists on a 270-degree circular curve providing maximum thrills! The Top Thrill Dragster is only for the boldest and most intense roller coaster riders!

There is a misprint here. The Blue Streak is Cedar Point's oldest rollercoaster, NOT its oldest ride. The oldest ride is the Midway Carousel.

I went on the top thrill dragster this year for the first time and it was awesome!
