Also on Saturday, the 4th of July, Lenox Square will be having its 50th annual fireworks celebration. This is a legendary event and is the largest fireworks display in the southeast. 4th of July Celebration at Decatur Square
The town of Decatur, just outside of Atlanta, will celebrate the 4th of July with a parade, a concert and a fireworks show. The Pied Piper Parade, beginning at 6pm, will include a marching band, floats sponsored by local organizations and a procession of decorated bicycles, skateboards and wagons, led by the town's mini fire truck. East of Atlanta, the town of Dunwoody will be hosting its tenth annual 4th of July parade beginning at 9:30am. This huge parade will include several local marching bands, dozens of floats donated by metro Atlanta businesses, a troupe of clowns to amuse the children and a number of local celebrities. Over three thousand participants and thirty thousand spectators are expected to attend.
4th of July Celebration at Stone Mountain Village and Stone Mountain Park
Another 4th of July parade is scheduled in Stone Mountain Village, right outside of Stone Mountain Park. This parade, beginning at 10am, will feature the area's best patriotic floats created by local residents. In the evening, Stone Mountain Park's 4th of July celebration starts out with their Lasershow Spectacular at 9pm, followed by their fireworks display.
All this, and there's still time to recuperate on Sunday the 5th, before Atlantans head back to work on Monday the 6th!

Sounds like THE place to be on 7/4!
Thanks for reminding me how great Atlanta can be! I visited there some time ago.
Great Info. I am planning to move to Atlanta in the near future so any info on local events is of great interest to me. I currently live in Boston and they manage to put on a pretty spectacular fireworks event as well.
Thanks for the info, I am sure it will get a lot of hits ☺
