Celebrate the Beginning of Girl Scouts on March 12
2010 is a Perfect Year to Support Girl Scouts of the USA
The Girl Scouts were founded on March 12, 1912, according to Wikipedia, with the goal of teaching girls values such as courage, sisterhood and community service. Much more information about the Girl Scouts can be obtained at their official Web site at girlscouts.org.
Don't you just love Girl Scout cookies? Of course, we all do. Not only do they taste so delicious, they support the great cause that is the Girl Scouts. Find out more about Girl Scout cookies at this link.
There are many different age groups for Girl Scouts. The very young girls can be a Daisy or a Brownie, and then as they grow the girls can become a Junior Girl Scout, then a Cadette, Senior or Ambassador Girl Scout. Find out more at this Web page.
The Girl Scouts are a superb organization because they are a community where girls of all ages can come together and learn social skills, learn how to communicate with each other, and learn to trust and believe in each other. These are powerful personal skills that tend to last a lifetime.
The Girl Scouts were founded on March 12 so during March of 2010 try to support the Girl Scouts as much as possible. Buy many boxes of Girl Scout cookies and share them with friends and family members. Try to encourage your daughter or young female relatives to join the local Girl Scouts, and then be a part of their lives as they develop new skills and make new friends.
If your daughter has started Girl Scouts and now needs the uniform, there are online resources where you can purchase the outfit. First, check out girlscoutshop.com and you will find many of the Girl Scout uniforms and accessories that you will need.
Next, once you have the proper costume accessories, make sure to visit girlscouts.org at this link for information on how to attach and where to place the Girl Scout badges and patches.
For the female adults out there who never got a chance to be a Girl Scout, there are plenty of costumes and outfits for you over at Amazon.com. These costumes may be best suited for 2010 Halloween parties, but just be respectful of the pride that young girls have in their wonderful organization, the Girl Scouts of America.
Celebrate the anniversary of Girl Scouts USA in March and spread the good word about this wonderful organization and all it does to help socialize and education young girls in America.

Post a CommentNice article. Love that photo of the plate of cookies!
These days, I just give a donation and don't take the cookies. I don't have the discipline not to wolf down an entire box in one sitting, and that is just too unhealthy!!!
You just HAD to put up a pic of those Thin Mint, didn't ya! Now I want them! As a former Campfire leader, these groups are wonderful for the girls.
Gosh, I love these cookies, and so do my thighs. ;)
thanks for sharing information ;)
Great article topic! I love those Girl Scout cookies!
Great article. Reminds me. I believe I ordered cookies from someone.
I never got to be a Girl Scout while growing up, but I was a leader for a Junior troop for a couple of years.
LOL @ Nancy, love this... :o)
I got booted because of a cookie thing. It wasn't my fault.
