It will always happen
On the 5^th of May
It's Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate the day

A very unlikely victory
Is the reason for celebration
Because the Mexican army
Had a very small formation

Mexico would demonstrate
They had only one intention
To strongly defend themselves
From foreign intervention

So let's take the time
To join in the festivities
Food, music and dancing
Are just some of the activities
