It will always happen
On the 5th of May
It's Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate the day
On the 5th of May
It's Cinco de Mayo
Celebrate the day
A very unlikely victory
Is the reason for celebration
Because the Mexican army
Had a very small formation
Mexico would demonstrate
They had only one intention
To strongly defend themselves
From foreign intervention
So let's take the time
To join in the festivities
Food, music and dancing
Are just some of the activities

Post a CommentA very sweet poem on a monumental event.
Cinco De Mayo is coming soon!
I think it's in the middle of the week this year, so I think I will probably be lame and not celebrate too much! ;-)
Making me want a margarita :) Cheers!
I love Cinco de Mayo. And no I'm not Mexican, but I love the culture. That counts, doesn't it?
A poetic history lesson. Nice. :D

Can you do one for the 5th of November (Guy Fawkes day)? Please?
I like how you throw in some history in this poem.
