Did you know Chicago holds the 2nd largest Cinco de Mayo celebration through-out the U.S? With Chicago having one of the largest Hispanic population finding a celebration won't be that hard. Whether you're looking to find a place for the family or a night on the town in Chicago your Cinco de Mayo will be a festival to remember.

At Douglas Park, 1401 S. Sacramento Ave Chicago IL., an annual Cinco de Mayo parade is held. It can be thought of as a cousin to The Taste of Chicago. The overall celebration of Mexican victory over France isn't all to be celebrated in this spectacular city. The Parade itself is a huge display of cultural and festive floats, along with young kids, dancers and colorful arrays of dresses twirling along the streets.

The parade also has live entertainment, food booths, vending operations, games, rides, a kid's area and marvelous cultural displays. If a parade isn't something you're interested in try your hands at Navy Pier.

Along with Navy Pier having one of the largest Farris wheels, Cinco de Mayo has its vibes here also. A stroll down the pier allows a wide array of delicious flavors to tease your taste buds and enlighten your curiosity. At Navy Pier you and your family can enjoy a day of sites, rides, and a race towards the end of the human maze. Or better yet enjoy your Cinco de Mayo on one of Chicago's famous boats all lined along the pier(reasonable prices).

Lots and lots of mini celebrations are held alongside Chicago's Lakefront. Come on out, grab your grill, your food, and anything you'd like to bring along the beach and celebrate Cinco De Mayo with the city. A great place to take the family or chill with some friends.

For those after hour parties Salud, located at 1471 N. Milwaukee Ave., will definitely get the party started. With almost 50 different Tequila shots available people are naturally drawn here. There signature margaritas and laid back flare is a sure winner on El Cinco De Mayo.

A good website to check out is http://www.chicagoneighborhoods.cc/chicago-festivals.html; it lists a few more spots to help celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

If you're from Chicago it won't be hard to find an awesome Cinco de Mayo spot, but if you're not from Chicago all you have to do is pay attention to your surroundings. Once you get closer and closer to people hanging from their cars proudly holding their flag, you're just about there.
