Celebrate Clinton Hill's new traffic safety victory
Neighborhood: Clinton Hill
Brooklyn, NY 11205
United States of America
You may have noticed a new speed bump near the entrance of P.S. 11 on Washington Avenue. This addition was produced by the efforts of the WA-Greene Block Association's 2009-2010 traffic safety collaboration with the Department of Transportation.

There is also new signage in place that restricts commercial trucks from using Washington Avenue to go through Clinton Hill. This is the block association's first street fair and it will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 from noon to 6 p.m. Local merchants and organizations will be present.

There will also be opportunities to get involved and give back to the Clinton Hill community. The Greene Hill Food Co-Op will have a table set up to sign up new members and volunteers from 1 to 4 p.m. The street fair is located on Washington Avenue between Green Avenue and Gates Avenue. It is just south of the the Clinton-Washington Avenues stop on the G train.
