Cedarburg, Wisconsin has an annual Wine and Harvest Festival (September 19th and 20th). This wonderful event is free and geared towards the whole family. There are ample booths (over 200) serving all kinds of fare, including: caramel apples, steamed corn on the cob, and, of course, the Wisconsin-staple bratwurst.
Some of the events at the Wine and Harvest Festival include: pumpkin painting, tractor-drawn hayrides and grape stomping. There will be live music throughout the festival, featuring an assortment of sounds sure to make your feet move.
As a note, dogs and other animals are not allowed on the festival grounds. So if you are traveling with your favorite canine, please remember to make accommodations for him/her before you head in for the great time at the Wine and Harvest Festival.
Even if you don't make it for the Wine and Harvest Festival, the historic downtown Cedarburg offers a wide array of options for the whole family. The children will love the candy stores (including Amy's Candy Kitchen) located on the main street, Washington Ave. Additionally, The Chocolate Factory serves up the finest ice cream around and has a plethora of options for anyone's sweet tooth.
For adults, the local winery (Cedar Creek), offers tours and wine sampling. The winery is open year round. Please visit cedarcreekwinery.comfor more information.
