Celebrate Mardi Gras, Universal Style 2010
The Traditional Event is Back to Let the Whole Family Celebrate Mardi Gras
It's that time of year again! With Lent coming up in the next few weeks, it also means that Mardi Gras is about to kick off in full swing, and while the weeklong event in New Orleans, can become a wild experience, Universal Orlando has created a Mardi Gras party of their own that is not only family-friendly, but an experience and a site for even the most seasoned partiers.
"15 Years of Beads, Bands and Good Times" is the theme for this year, and in keeping with tradition there is sure to be amazing Mardi Gras décor throughout the parks, cocktails and spirits for the adults, and amazing entertainment and performers for all, that only Universal Orlando could provide.
In the French Quarter Courtyard -located in the New York area at Universal Studios, guests will be able to join in the celebration. Here they will be able to sample the traditional fare (jambalaya, shrimp gumbo, po-boys), music and drinks and of course get crazy and wild (in a family-friendly sense) with the Mardi Gras Parade. Just be sure to get lined up for the parade early enough so that you can scout out a great place to catch the beads and doubloons.
