Celebrating your own Father's Day -

Father's Day is usually consisted of finding that perfect gift for your father that he'll remember for years to come and that shows how much you love and appreciate him.

If you are anything like me, you know this can be rather difficult. Men are a lot harder to shop for than women in my opinion. If you want to get something that is personal that is. Otherwise you can just give them a gift card and let them buy themselves something. Not as personal, but works great.

So here are some ideas and suggestions for taking a day to yourself to indulge in doing things you love that you have a hard time finding the time to do.

Growing up doesn't mean you have to lose the inner child within you. So if you are a kid at heart and like playing video games, then take this day to pick out your favorite video games, get some snacks or pizza or whatever you choose together and do nothing but play video games. Join your kids in if you want, as long as you enjoy yourself! This is 'your' day!

If you enjoy fishing, then plan a day of sitting by the lake or a pond, drinking your beer or sweet tea, while relaxing and fishing. Buy yourself a new fishing rod if need be, and all the different bait you've always wanted to try, and even all the neat little lures. Whatever your heart desires, you can buy these, because it's your day and nobody else's.

Maybe you like gadgets and computers. If so, you could buy that neat little toy you've had your eye on for awhile now. Or you could totally rebuild your computer. Buy that fancy new processor you've had your eye on, or go crazy and buy all new insides for it. Don't laugh, because some guys find this incredibly fun and rewarding. Usually the guys that play a lot of high-tech games on their computer likeWolfenstein or Empire Earth. Just to name a couple.

If you own a boat, you could spend a day at the lake, just soaking up the sun and enjoying the warm weather and beautiful water. Maybe spend a few hours giving your boat some TLC even.

Whatever the case, I'm sure you have a hobby that you thoroughly enjoy when you have the time, and this would be as good a time as any to plan for yourself. Include the family if you want, just remember it's all about you so enjoy yourself and make it a Father's Day to remember!
