Celebrate the Red White and Blue at the Red White and You Festival at Clement Park
The Annual Red White and You Festival Will Be Held July 3rd, 2007 Begining at 6 Pm
Littleton, CO 80123
United States of America
The festivities start at 6 pm and will last until around 9:45 pm. Starting off the festival at 6 pm is an array of community booths including local vendors, crafters, concessions, fun activities for the kids, and a Kids Zone sponsored by Bellco Credit Union. In previous years, as well as other festivals at Clement Park, the Kids Zone has included bounce houses, obstacle courses, bungee trampolines, and more.
At 7:30 pm Colorado's favorite classic rock and roll band, Hot Flash, will be playing the best songs from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and more at the outdoor amphitheater. Their song list includes great classics such as "Brown Eyed Girl", "I Feel Good", and "Walking On Sunshine". They also cover some of the best hits that are currently on the radio including "I'm Here for the Party" by Gretchen Wilson and "I Love This Bar" by Toby Kieth. The amphitheater is located on the west side of the park near the lake and the Columbine Public Library. There will be lots of singing, dancing, and mingling with the crowd.
At 9 pm there will be a firework display by Tri-State Fireworks company to celebrate the 4th of July. They will be launched just south of the amphitheater, so you won't even have to leave your place after Hot Flash finishes their performance. The firework displays from Clement Park in past years have been spectacular, and this year is expected to live up to that standard.
Robert F. Clement Park, otherwise known as Clement Park, is located in Littleton just off of Bowles between Wadsworth and Pierce. To park near the amphitheater, take the entrance to the Columbine Library. Follow the street to the south until you reach the parking lot. Do not park at the library unless you want your car towed away. This event is going to be big and parking will be limited in that area as well as the rest of the park, so get there early. There is some off street parking available on Pierce as well as side streets in the neighborhoods off of Pierce, but it might be a bit of a walk. If you live in a near by neighborhood, it is suggested by many festival goers to leave the car at home and walk to the festivities.
Don't forget that the Red White and You Celebration will be held on July 3rd and not on the 4th of July. Be sure to bring some water, sunscreen, and a camera and get ready to have a great time!
