Celebrate the U.S. Constitution in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida

Retired Senior Chief Geoff Ross and the Emerald Coast Tea Party Patriots are hosting an event to raise awareness of the U.S. Constitution, and to raise money to support fisherman affected by the Gulf Coast Oil Spill, and for the Navy Seal Wounded Warrior program. The U.S. Constitution Freedom Rally will be held at the Emerald Coast Conference Center, Ft. Walton Beach, FL, on Saturday, August 21, 2010.

Attendees will hear brief presentations from local political leaders and candidates, a speech from candidate for US Senate, Marco Rubio, and a closing presentation from featured speaker, Brigitte Gabriel, author of "They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It."

A Focus on the U.S. Constitution

The rally focuses on bringing attention to the U.S. Constitution. Many feel this is especially important as conflict escalates between state's rights and the federal government's attempts to influence state activities. Taking center stage is the conflict between Arizona and the Obama administration over Arizona's recently passed SB1070 signed into law by Governor Jan Brewer. The Constitution has roughly 4,500 words, including signatures, and is considered to be the supreme law of the United States. The Constitution serves as the framework for our country, defining the relationship of the federal government to the states and citizens. Today, many feel that relationship is being unfairly tilted, giving Washington D.C. too much control and power over the states. Many Americans have a renewed interest in the document, and are raising awareness in order to protect the freedom of states and citizens to determine their own destinies. Featured Speaker: Brigitte Gabriel

The U.S. Constitution Freedom Rally, features Mrs. Brigitte Gabriel, author of "Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America" and "They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Can Do It."

During the Lebanese Civil War, Mrs. Brigitte Gabriel's family spent seven years living in a small underground bomb shelter as Islamic militants launched an assault on the Lebanese military base near her home. Her personal experience started her on the path to founding The American Congress for Truth, a not-for-profit organization.

The mission of American Congress for Truth includes being, "... the definitive source of education, information and research about the multiple threats posed to America's national security and democratic values by radical Islam, in order to awaken and empower freedom-loving people everywhere to effectively combat these threats."

Ms. Gabriel is a Fox News Contributor, and a respected authority on Islamic extremism and terrorism, frequently seen as a guest analyst on CNN and MSNBC.
