National Constitution Center Hosts Vision 2020 Exhibition

March is Women's History Month and The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia is hoping to attract residents across the greater Philadelphia region to the exhibition currently running in Posterity Hall.

The exhibition is titled - From the Absence of Many to the Presence of All: The Unfinished Business of Women's Equality.
The exhibition which was commissioned by Drexel University College of Medicine's Institute for Women's Health and Leadership is being sponsored by the McDonald's Corporation and has been running from since October 18, 2010, culminates on the last day of Women's History Month, March 31, 2011.

The purpose of the exhibition is to trace the meandering path of the progress which American women have followed as they progressed towards more gender equality. The exhibition features some of the women who have impacted the movement throughout the years and explores the impact of the 19th Amendment on the politics and personal lives of women.

The exhibition was developed as part of Vision 2020, the national, bi-partisan initiative which was launched in Philadelphia last October by women leaders from 50 US states who gathered to celebrate and honor women's history. Vision 2020 is a 10-year project whose goal is to advance equality and women's leadership. In addition to the ongoing exhibition, the National Constitution Center will host Vision 2020 Day on March 30, 2011.

Visit the National Constitution Center at Independence Mall, 525 Arch Street,Philadelphia, PA 19106 or call to learn more at 215 409 6600. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm, Saturday from 9:30am to 6:00pm and Sunday from noon to 5:00pm.
