There are many kinds of beers and different ways to serve them in order to experience the thrill of each so do something different this year like knowing how to serve beer other than out of a shoe. By learning a few simple facts about beer you can have a great party everyone will remember beyond the night and into the future. They will look forward to next years party with anticipation.
Lager beers are most popular in the United States, Germany and Scandinavia and are best served very cold. While it goes down with a chill it warms the insides like nothing else can and for a very good price. Most British and other heavy beers are best served at room temperature to maintain the full flavor and aroma. It feels smooth going down and has the best taste of any beer around. If you haven't tried the full taste heavier beers at room temperature you are missing a real treat.
But everyone likes something different and for just as many reasons. Make it memorable by serving a variety of brands, types and temperature with good eats. Foods best with beer for the New Year are chili served in bread bowls, big sandwiches with a variety of meats and chips. Hot dogs, hamburgers and red hot chicken wings will round out your fantastic menu.
To pour bottled beer into a glass, tilt the glass and pour the beer against the side so it won't have a large head on it. Don't shake the bottle beforehand unless you plan to shower everyone in the room. If you want a slight head then use a dry glass. If you refill into a glass that has been used and is still wet it will tend to inhibit the froth.
Other ways to serve beer are in chilled glasses fresh from the freezer. For warm beer use glasses that have been placed on the counter at least an hour before you begin to serve. Beer is also great straight from the bottle. For a great cold beer with style place several in a tin tub filled with ice frozen in different colors made with food coloring. It doesn't have to be a lot of color. A couple of ice trays made before hand in your own freezer will mix great with a bag from the closest store and give a real party look creating a good time for guest right from the first grab.
So get out your best glasses, strongest glasses and freezer glasses. Buy several types of beer to go with the food and start the night with a bang. This year you'll celebrate the New Year with style, taste and lots of wild fun. Have one for me and Happy New Year
