If I couldn't cook or bake then, I would lose part of myself because cooking and baking are an essenial part of my life. The first meal that I cooked was breakfast. I made scambled eggs and hash browns. Eggs are very easy to cook and I recommend cooking eggs to someone just starting out in the wonderful world of culinary arts. Once, I perfected scrambled eggs, I made scrambled eggs with cheese and green peppers and salami omlettes. I have also cooked eggs with ratatouille for dinner. I am trying to make a quiche well by March.
I also like to cook international dishes such as Italian and Jewish cuisine. I make a version of the Old Spaghetti Factory's miziratha cheese and burnt butter dish. I also like making spaghetti and marinara. Moreover, my first pasta dish was spaghetti with a butter and garlic sauce. I would recommend cooking spaghetti for dinner as a beginning cook. I also like cooking Jewish cuisine such as stuffed peppers, and Matzo Ball soup. I am learning to make eggplant parmesean and brisket. In honor of Australia Day, I will be cooking a complete Australia inspired dinner, including, tea, a citrus salad, fish, and scones or biscuits. Tea, fish, salad, and biscuits are part of Australian cuisine.
Baking will also take center stage during National Hobby Month. The first thing I baked was a chocolate snack cake; then, I baked my first batch of chocolate chip cookies. I bake cookies for presents. I also like to bake pumpkin and apple pies. This year I started making blueberry, pumpkin, and cranberry scones. Baking is much more scientific than cooking because you must follow a recipe for a pineapple upside down cake exactly; but, cooking lends itself to more creativity. I have substituted lemons for oranges in a salad recipe.
The object of hobbies are relaxation I have three hobbies of reading, cooking, and baking. All of these hobbies allow me to relax after a hard day of researching and writing. Cooking and baking are essential parts of my life that is why I wished to write about these hobbies in honor of National Hobby Month.
