Wes Laurie
Drunk driving is a serious and potentially deadly offense and we never lack in getting moral sermons and warnings about such. However, it also appears to be one of the favorite pastimes of high profile celebrities. Therefore, in this day and age of the Hollywood role model how are people to take drunk driving seriously if the rich and famous are laughing it off? Compiled here is a list, moderate in size by some degrees considering all of the celebrity offenses throughout history, and voiding most sports stars who could form their own sports league with the amount of DUI arrests collected, of celebrities that have been pulled over for or charged with DUI; Driving Under the Influence.

It does seem like an epidemic, doesn't it? You'd think with all the money they pull in, they'd hire a driver.

  • Maggie Abernathy 9/13/2007

Great article! A lot of people on this list surprised me. We get to thinking that we "know" celebrities personally, and in reality we don't really know what their personal lives are like at all. People who seem really friendly and upstanding could be into drugs or drinking or whatever...you never know.

  • Tigerlobo 8/11/2007

I like how you covered all your tracks with the list of sites cited.

No one is exempt from bad decisions now and again, I suppose.

You just said it yourself.."wonder if they get together and talk about the normal people" therefore implying that celebrities are not normal people, therefore the interest in the media and public on what they do and subsequently they become spotlighted unintentional role models and shapers of society...either that or Sean Penn needs to quit going to foreign countries acting like an Ambassader

  • Nicholas Kagy 8/10/2007

This is really sad when we have to focus on celebrities who get in trouble. I wonder if they ever get together and talk about all the normal people who get arrested all the time.

  • William Pinn 8/9/2007

    I'll drink to that!
